Ingredients

- 2 lb, cut into pieces Chicken
- 2 medium, finely sliced Onion
- 5 pods Garlic
- 1/4 pc. Onion
- 2 inch Ginger
- 4  Whole Red Chili
- 2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tsp Red Chili Powder
- 4 tbsp Yogurt
- 1 cup Water
-  to taste Salt
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 4  Bay Leaf
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 8 tbsp Cooking Oil
- 1 tsp Ghee

Instructions

1. Heat oil in a wok. Fry sliced onion till it turns light brown.

2. Add the chicken pieces. Fry till the chicken becomes light brown.

3. Grind everything from garlic to red chili powder with little water.

4. Add the grinded masala to the chicken, and fry for 10 min in medium heat.

5. Mix the yogurt in 1 cup water. Add it to the chicken. Fry for 5 min. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer till the chicken gets cooked properly.

6. In a separate pan heat the ghee. Add the bay leaves and the garam masala powder. Fry for a minute. Add it to the chicken, and mix properly.

7. Remove from heat and serve with rice or paratha.
